week...Give me time to dig round it and manure it.’ If in spite of all this there is still no fruit, then the fig tree will be cut down, it will perish. Even God’s patience has a limit.

The Theme This Year is :
Turn Biscuits into Bicycles & Wine into Water

CAFOD is taking a slightly different approach with fundraising from the Catholic community this year, by asking people to give CAFOD the money saved from self-denial actions THROUGHOUT Lent, so that it can go towards transforming people's lives in the developing world.

David Payne (above) has had a varied life;
once a successful young business man, he became a drug addict
before finding faith and now is the Director of CaFE
(Catholic Faith Exploration),a charity helping Catholics around the world to find new life and hope in Jesus Christ using film productions and engaging presentations. He is married to an Italian called Giovanna and they live in
St Albans with three young children.

STREET CHILD AFRICA
We are very pleased to announce that the Faure and Vivaldi concert previously arranged for 10th January will now take place on
Saturday 24th April 2010 at Christ Church,
Charterhouse Road, Orpington at 7:30pm.

The rehearsal will be at the church 2pm-5pm. A parishioner of Christ Church and choir member has kindly donated the cost of hire of the facilities which is a wonderful gift. We are still looking for choir members and welcome everyone for the evening performance.

Street Pastors
Caring
The role is not about preaching heaven and hell, but one of listening, caring and helping -
- working in an unconditional way.

As part of the Churches Together initiative, the Rev Ray Bell from Hope Church will be speaking about Street Pastors again at the 8.00am and 10am Mass
Sunday 25th April, the Fourth Sunday of Easter.


Interested in becoming a Street Pastor?

Catholics are to be found as Street Pastors in many areas, including Bromley,
though as yet there are none in Orpington.
Parishioners from Holy Innocents' are very welcome to join their ranks.
